National Civil Servant Flying Competition

Following the success of last years event the Civil Service Flying Club is organising another National Civil Servant Flying Competition to be held on 29th April 2012. The Competition, which is subsidised by Civil Service Sports and Leisure (www.cssc.co.uk), will be held at Sleap aerodrome and will involve a Navigation Competition and a timed arrival. The event is open to CSSC members who hold a PPL and other CSSC members who are interested in the event. Non-members are welcome but the subsidy is not available and the full entry fee will apply. Teams of between 1 and 3 crew members will be accepted to participate in all elements.

If you have trouble with the link then please contact -Tom Thompsett - 01494 888434. An entry fee of £5/person applies to cover the cost of landing fees at Sleap (non CSSC members £30/person).
The two elements of the competition will be timed arrival and a 45min - 1hr navigation exercise. The timed arrival will be scored on touch down time at Sleap having accurately planned your transit flight and provided the organiser with your time. The navigation exercise be a 4-6 turning point route around Shropshire (provided on the day). The crew must fly the exact route identifying ground features on the route.
