LEARNING TO FLY WITH THE CSFC

To obtain a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) you will need to undertake a minimum of 45 hours of instruction, most of this timG-BIIB over Northern Francee with an instructor although some of it will be solo. You will also be required to pass several flight and theory tests, the theory tests consisting of fairly simple multiple choice questions. This may all sound a bit daunting whereas in reality it is not at all difficult and is very worth while. Our page "So what is so Great about having a PPL", accessible from our home page or by clicking this link, explains the benefits of having a PPL.

The CSFC, through a partnership with Skytrek Flying School, is able to offer PPL training in a Cessna 152 currently £150/brakes off/on hour inc vat. At Skytrek, unlike, some training establishments you do not pay landing or touch and go fees when landing at your base airfield, in our case Rochester. A touch and go is a practice landing and take off, where a normal approach is made, but as soon as the aircraft touches down full engine power is applied and a take off initiated. You will do lots of these during your training and at clubs that do charge it will be it will be a significant extra cost. For more information on training please click here "Obtaining more Information" or access the same information from our home page.
